Human expertise plus the power of AI

Our approach

Our investment philosophy is grounded in common sense and the disciplined allocation of capital to assets we believe offer superior returns while avoiding uncompensated risk.

We combine traditional investment practices with cutting-edge AI to analyse vast datasets in real time and maintain rigorous oversight of portfolio risk.

Human judgement remains central to portfolio construction, but the support of AI enables timely, objective decision-making and helps remove emotional bias.

How we invest

Machine learning

Our AI system learns what is driving stock prices and adapts to changing conditions. It analyses thousands of stocks and over 60 data points daily, considering consensus estimates, target prices, recommendations, financial statements and daily performance relative to country and sector.

Disciplined process

Human analysis determines which stocks we buy, but they must have been recommended by the system. And we never overrule its sell recommendations. When removing holdings, a manager is only creating opportunity costs, so our process has removed human involvement in selling stocks.

Not a black box

Whilst the system enhances idea generation and generates powerful buy and sell signals, it is the fundamental analysis, market judgment and portfolio construction of the investment team that truly drives performance. We substantially outperform what the system would achieve on its own.

We use AI and machine learning not as a black box that tells us what to buy or sell, but as a way to uncover signals and patterns that humans alone can’t easily see — ultimately to support better, more consistent decisions.
